Smilin Jacks has been a dream of ours for a long time. My grandfather Jack Thomas owned and operated Dixie Doughnut in Lenoir for many years. The best childhood memories stem from his business. Spending my weekends learning to make roses for cakes, or being paid 5 cents to put together cake boxes. Those smells of fresh baked goods still remain etched in my memories.

We hope to make wonderful lasting memories with you. With the moral support of family and dear friends we have opened our online site. Though none of this would be possible without the guidance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May you be blessed in your lives as we have been blessed in ours!

1. Shipping to the all states(Candy Apples/Chocolate covered items)June 1 through September 15: require USPS 2 day and will require cold pack shipping which will result in an additional $8.50 charge to cover costs.
2. Orders are shipped out Monday through Thursday.
3. As our Gourmet Apples, Chocolate covered items are perishable we avoid shipping on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.
4. Your order will be handled with the utmost care – we are particular about freshness and for this reason your apples are made especially for you - we only dip and coat your apples after we have received your order – we do not keep an inventory of apples ready to ship for online orders.
5. Orders are usualy shipped out the following business day after being placed online.
6. Please keep in mind when selecting your shipping destination that someone should be there to receive the package, if possible, as the apples are perishable.  As it is up to the discretion of USPS/UPS to leave a package at the door step, you may wish to consider shipping to someone’s place of employment if they are not at home to receive the package.
